"Tantalizing Tuesdays" at the Horse
2017- Sold Out -
Wait List O

Our 7th year of  "Tantalizing Tuesdays" - the Flathead's most sought after foodie event - is going literary...literally! We're recreating our favorite food scenes from famous and infamous books and cinema. The research will go on throught the winter as we revisit such memorable dining experieces as the exquisite French meal served in a spartan house on the desolate shores of northern Denmark in Babette's Feast; or the emotional roller coaster candle-lit supper in Like Water For Chocolate.
Each Tuesday, we'll feature a six course
dinner interpreting
those literary gems, paired with five exceptional wines provided by Rocky Mountain Wine Distributors; and the piano stylings of Craig Barton. Secured reservations are required and may be made by emailing Chef Kathleen at laughinghorselodge@gmail.com. These events are sold out months in advance, so reserve early!  $159 per couple, $65 for non-drinking, designated drivers. Due to high demand and the limited size of this event, non-refundable pre-payment is required 15 days in advance.

Combine your dinner with an overnight room for an additional $95 plus 7%tax.

More to come....

Your Montana Adventure begins at the Horse!

mountain biking or horse back riding the Swan and Mission Mountain ranges will be major highlights of your stay. Bring a camera  to the meadows of Lost Creek and be ready for black bear and grizzly, or Bond Creek for mountain goats. At the Oxbow Reserve spot a moose or a family of white tail deer. And of course, there's always Glacier National Park just a short drive away.

Kayak the Swan River and get splashed by beaver or catch a glimpse of an elusive ermine searching for crayfish in the river mud. Paddlers may thrill to Class V high adventure on Swan River's Wild Mile or a relaxing paddle on Swan Lake. Easy to use sea kayaks and paddle boards are available at the Lodge.  Take a short walk to Morley's Canoe Shop, where Greg and his son Steve handcraft cedar canoes that are works of art as well as highly functional watercraft... but don't fall in love with one and expect delivery tomorrow... Greg's canoes are in such high demand, a two year wait is not unheard of!

Flyfishing - Clear mountain streams and highland lakes offer the adventurous fisherman outstanding sport with brookies, cutthroat and rainbow trout. Flyfishing is de rigueur on Swan River, and Swan Lake offers world-class pike and bull trout. Explore on your own or find your fishing adventure with an experienced local guide. The Swan Lake Day Park located 1/4 mile from the Lodge provides a boat launch and dock facilities for boating, fishing and jet skiing. Rental powered water vehicles may be delivered to Swan Lake for your enjoyment.

Whether your idea of vacation adventure is bagging a mountain peak; laying a fly on the back side of an eddy; perched atop a rugged trail horse; or sipping an exceptional Pinot in the garden with a good book at sunset...the Horse can be your Montana dream destination. Won't you join us?
