It's never too early to start planning for Spring in in Swan Lake! Just you and your non-smoking pup and miles of waterways and trails freshly uncovered from winter snows, and begging for exploration.
Our Spring Getaway Package begins May 17th and continues through June 25th. Enjoy a two night stay (Wednesday - Sunday) in one of our cozy queen bed rooms with private bath and full breakfast, plus a gourmet 4 course dinner for two with Chef-selected bottle of wine each evening.
Upgrade to two beds (rooms 5 and 7) for $20 or the cabin (no pups at the cabin) for an additional $55.
To book your package, click on the Make Reservations Icon and follow the prompts to make your secure reservation. When you reach the Credit Card screen, write "Package" in the Dietary Restrictions/Pets box. You will recieve an immediate room-only confirmation. A package confirmation will follow in a few days.
Built rustic timbers and decorated in true Montana style with log furniture, quilts and cowboy art, any one of our attractive guestrooms will cocoon you in comfort and serenity. Complimentary WiFi. (Sorry, no phones, alarm clocks, cell service or TVs in the guest rooms). To view photos of the rooms, please click on the Check Availability icon. No smoking in any interiors. Due to intimate size and proximity of the rooms, the Horse is not recommended for infants who are not yet sleeping through the night.

4 - Guest Rooms, each with one queen bed and private bath (maximum capacity 2)
1 - Guest Room with two Double/Twin bunk beds and private bath (maximum capacity 6)
2 - Guest Rooms, each with queen bed, small kitchenette and private bath (maximum capacity 2)
1 - Guest Cabin with two full beds, kitchen and bathroom (minimum 3 night stay, no dogs allowed in cabin, maximum capacity 4 adults or two adults with three small children. Shared bathroom through bedroom. No WiFi at the cabin. )
Lodging includes a delicious hot breakfast, freshly brewed Montana Coffee Traders French Roast or pressed tea and juice.
Guest rooms are separate from the main lodge and on the ground floor.
All lodge interiors and near-room areas are smoke-free.
Well-behaved dogs and other pets are welcome - sorry we cannot accommodate elephants and the water feature is too small for hippopotami.
Please be aware that the lodge is pet friendly with a resident African Gray Parrot named Sampson; a feline named Juliet; and three fun-loving golden retrievers - Cooper, Nikki and Josey.

In our 17th year here at the Horse, the practices we have tried to implement -as much as possible providing organic, natural, hormone-free, known-sourced food- will continue with the assistance o groups like GlobalAnimalPartnership.org and their nationally recognized 5+ Step Program
of responsible and ethical animal husbandry.
What will this mean for you and that beautiful double-Frenched Pork Chop topped with Kate's Stone Fruit Chutney or that juicy, sliced Chicken breast atop your Rancher Salad? Well, if you are over 40, your taste buds are going to have a trip down memory lane...back to the days when meats and eggs weren't stuffed full of antibiotics and hormones and actually tasted like, well, meat and eggs.
Working with our food provider, FSA, and local ranchers and farmers, we are including as many GAP-certified meats and poultry as we can, taking responsibility for our little slice of Montana heaven by ensuring every 'creature' we serve - whether sitting at the table or sitting on the plate, is having
(or did have) a good experience. And don't worry, we're not going to serve your char-grilled, house-aged, Misty Isle FarmsAngus rib-eye and introduce her as Rosey!

For guests with alternative diets, the Lodge can provide fully vegetarian and dairy-free or wheat-free meals.
